Nature Conservation Projects

The riches of nature, and the services they provide, depend on those who manage land, water and the creatures that live there. Some guidance for these important managers, and the governments that influence them, can be found in European Charters here (see the right column).

Best practice ideas from across Europe have been gathered during as a result of two European Commission projects at the Naturalliance site (now in 23 languages). Further multilingual projects sites are being started to help restore the riches of nature across Europe.

The first of these project sites is about Grey Partridges and the wildflower-loaded habitats needed by them, pollinators and many other species. Perdixnet is now on trial, before official launch across Europe on 11 May 2017. Its 16 languages (10 are already on-line) will promote wildlife-friendly farming from the North Sea to the Adriatic.

Work on deer and wild boar, alien species, river quality and other 'nature based solutions' and 'ecosystem services' is in planning too. Please "Contact Us" if your organisation would like to help.
